Gr. 6 Student Wins Heritage Award with Essay on Gay Rights History
Serena Wells, a Grade 6 student from Moose Jaw has won a local award at last week’s Moose Jaw Regional Heritage Fair for her essay entitled, “Canadian Gay Rights History.”
Wells is listed on the Heritage Saskatchewan’s website as a “local award winner” and her essay has been selected to compete in the Provincial Heritage Fair on May 25th at the Government House in Regina.

In recognition of Serena’s success at the Moose Jaw Heritage Fair, Moose Jaw Pride has invited Serena to read her short essay on the “Hidden Histories” Trolley Tour on Sunday, May 7 as part of Moose Jaw Pride Week.
